Stumen is operated by Sparkbay LLC, a Georgia limited liability company, doing business as Stumen. In these terms, “we” and “us” mean Sparkbay LLC. “You” means you, and the organisation you are signing up on behalf of. By using Stumen, you agree to these terms.
Stumen is a free public beta. It is provided as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not promise that it will be available, that it will work correctly, or that it is fit for any particular purpose.
We may change it, reset it, suspend it, or shut it down at any time, without notice. A reset deletes documents, accounts, and activity records.
Do not use Stumen as your only record of anything that matters to you. Keep your own copy.
Stumen is for people aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, you may not use it.
Only share documents you own or otherwise have the right to share. You are responsible for what you put into Stumen and for who you give access to.

Stumen is not built for that kind of data and is not certified to hold it.
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
New signups are reviewed by us before the account works. We may decline a signup, and we may suspend or remove an account, an organisation, or any document, at any time — including where we believe these terms have been broken.
Stumen records who shared, requested, approved, and opened each document, and when.
That record is tamper-evident: entries cannot be edited or deleted through Stumen, the database actively refuses updates and deletions, and every entry carries a sequence number, so a missing entry is visible.
Tamper-evident is not the same as proof. We do not guarantee that the record is complete, accurate, or admissible anywhere. It is not legal advice, it is not a legal opinion, and it is not a guarantee that any court, regulator, or counterparty will accept it as evidence. If you need that, talk to a lawyer.
You keep every right you have in what you share. You give us permission to store the limited file information described in the Privacy Policy and to show your files to the Receivers you approve — only so that we can run the service for you, and for no other purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of Stumen.
Stumen is free, so where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to US $100.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
You can stop using Stumen at any time, and delete your account in Settings. We can end your access at any time. Sections 6, 8, and 10 continue to apply afterwards.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and you agree to the jurisdiction of those courts.
We may update these terms. We will change the date and version at the top of this page, and for a significant change we will ask you to accept the new version the next time you sign in.
